ARTIST STATEMENT
In my lighting design journey, I have anchored my work in core values including collaboration, originality, diversity, inclusion, and creativity. Born in Mexico and enriched by experiences in the United States, I desire to illuminate narratives that bridge cultures and foster connections between audiences. Collaboration is at the heart of my creative process, particularly with choreographers and directors who trust me with their visions while encouraging my artistic expression. This collaborative exchange drives exploration in a supportive and liberating environment. My ultimate goal is to create transformative experiences for the audience, where my lighting designs evoke emotions and perceptions, transcending technicalities to provoke profound responses. Guided by the vision of playwright Virginia Grise, I defend art as a practice of freedom, fostering spaces where creativity flourishes and limitless experimentation is celebrated.
